Depart Hua Hin at 7.00 am.and drive down towards the south. After 1.30 hour, we arrive at the city pillar “Angle with four faces” of Prachuabkhirikhan. Then we walk to the foot of the mirror mountain (Khao Chong Khrachok). For those who are energetic, you can try walking up the steps to the temple at the top. Otherwise, you can feed the monkeys at the foot of the hills. We continue our journey by driving pass the beautiful harbor of Prachuabkirikhan. Then we drive on to Baan Kood area where you visit one of the most beautiful temples on the southern route which is worth about 300 million Baht. This unique temple is built on big hill top over looking the sea with stunning architecture. Get ready your cameras!
We will stop for lunch in Chumporn at one of the best restaurant in the area, before we go further down south. Next stop is the Kra Isthmus which is the Malay Peninsula’s narrowest point, spanning a mere 53 km. from the Gulf of Thailand. After a short survey around the area, we continue driving for another 40 mins before we arrive at our hotel. After checking in, you will have 2 hours free for relaxing at the hotel’s swimming pool which the water is brought from the famous hot spring of Ranong or take a rest before we meet for dinner. Time to have for our Seafood dinner by the sea where you can see Myanmar just across.
After breakfast we take you to the Thai immigration before heading to the pier where our boat is waiting to take us across to the Victoria Point in Myanmar. After half an hour we arrive at Victoria Point and our first stop is at the monument of King Burengnong who defeated Siam (Thailand) during the Ayutthaya time. Next stop is to the temple where you can the different architectures of Myanmar in this temple. Our last stop is at the local market where you can buy cheap local handicrafts such as wood carving, pearls, gems and souvenirs made in Myanmar. Time to say good bye and return to Ranong for a quick lunch at the Hot Spring.
After lunch, we will take a break by dipping our feet in the hot spring which is highly recommended as this will take the sore away from your feet & legs. Then back to the van and drive to the Mangrove Forest Research Station to see the different kinds of trees and animals that live in the area. Last stop at Ranong is at the famous Lying Buddha then return to Hua Hin at about 21.00 pm.
